What is Psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a non contagious, chronic disease that happens on the skin. The skin is marked with thickened red patches and covered with thick, silvery scales. The scales are inflamed underneath. In the US, Psoriasis affects between 2-3 % on average of the population. Affected areas of the body often can include the elbows, face, scalp, knees, belly button, hands, ears and groin section.
Psoriasis is not contagious. Psoriasis often appears in the same place on each side of the body. Sometimes it returns to the same area after healing, and often it returns to other new areas. Psoriasis patches range from the size smaller than a dime to sizes as large as the palm of the hand.
What Causes Psoriasis?
In normal cases, skin cells shed after about roughly one month after maturing. With Psoriasis, cell maturation speed has increased, and this process takes two to four days. Since the lower layer of cells in the skin divide more rapidly, the dead skin cells accumulate in thick patches on the outer layer of the skin.
My Psoriasis Treatment was created to help you heal your Psoriasis. For years I have tested so many techniques to help my Psoriasis, and some things have helped more than others. Some things I have done have worked very well. Many other people have different stories on what helped them the most. This website is here to help you learn from those stories.
